Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born 14 August 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third child of five. Beverly Bushfield was the mother of her child. Thad Harden who was serving in the army service, was her father. Her first interest for theatre during her time with her family in Greece and taking part in plays in Athens. Harden began her college education at American institutions in Europe but returned to the US to finish her education in the University of Texas in 1983 and then earned an MFA from NYU in the following year, and then was able to begin her career as an actor. Although she had acted in a movie since 1986 in a film that was not widely known, The Imagemaker (1986), her first role that was mainstream which was in conjunction with TV film work, was the hot, sultry woman fatale in The Imagemaker, the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat tribute to gangster films, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden got a positive review for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna the seductive, dangerous woman. Harden thereafter worked steadily as a supporting character, such as the portrayal of Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992), a television biopic on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
