Jill Hennessy
Her mixed heritage includes Irish Italians, Swedish, Italians as well as French and Ukrainians. The twin sister of her, Jacqueline is a professional actor. Jill was fluent in several languages as she grew up. This included Italian, French, and Spanish. She became interested in the acting world at age twelve. In Toronto, she began her career as an actress in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort alongside the twins of her. When she began studying improv with Deb Kimmet from Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. After that, she was transferred to New York two years later and was offered a contract to portray assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit long-running series Law & Order. In the course of her three-year run and beyond, she spent her time doing feature film roles such as RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). She was a part of a handful of dull films throughout the next months, and then landed a starring part in 1999's miniseries uremberg which was co-produced by Alec Baldwin. The roles in the major series including Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. The actress was offered a leading role on the crime drama NBC's Crossing Jordan. And in 2007, for her contribution to the series she was honored with a Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding Female Leading in a Drama Series". In 2000, she got married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. They have two kids. The couple was recognized on the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2007.
