Alanis Morissette
Alanis Nadine was born 1 June 1974 in Ottawa, Canada. Alanis can be described as the female form of Alan his father's last name. Georgia is the name given to her mother. She also has two brothers named Chad along with Wade. When she was just 6 she started learning to play piano. Then, at 21, the guitarist. Alanis released a single in 1986, titled Fate stay with me (b-side : Find The Right Man). To be specific, during her time in Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis (in 1991) and now Is The Time in 1992. Her move to Toronto at the age of 18 and started working with writers and musicians, but these partnerships didn't pan out. In 1994, she finally came across the perfect collaborator: the producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had collaborated with several artists including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. Her move to LA in the year she turned 19. On June 13th 1995 "Jagged Little Pill" was made available through Madonna's Maverick Records. Alanis was able to come up with the idea of recording songs that were autobiographical and extremely personal. JLP is the third highest-selling album ever and was sold over more than 30 million times around globe.
